I. The Story of the Double Life
I’ve always been obsessed with how things work, both digital and mechanical. I studied Web Design way back in the early 2000s, but the job market and family’s advice steered me toward the trades. So, I became a Red Seal Certified Automotive Technician in 2007, fixing everything from big mining equipment to high-end cars.
What I realized in the shop is simple: diagnosing a complicated engine is exactly like troubleshooting a messy database. It is all about finding the core issue, applying logic, and following a highly detailed process.
II. How a Mechanic Became a Systems Strategist
My digital passion never quit! I quickly ditched the pen and paper notepad for the digital world, eventually building my own highly effective Notion Work Order Database. That system is so robust, it could virtually replace the software most dealerships use.
I went all-in on the business side of things, earning my Alberta Blue Seal and tackling courses in Project Management and Leadership. Basically, I learned how to run a business and manage complex projects. Now, I bring that unique mix of certified skills to your digital challenges.
